Butterscotch Cookies

Butterscotch Cookies

3/4 cup butter

3 TBLS. sugar

1 1/2 cups flour

 

Cream butter well.  Add sugar and cream well.  Add flour.  Mix well.  Pat in bottom of greased 9x13 pan in a thin layer. Bake approx 15 minutes in 350 degree oven.

 

Butterscotch Cookie Topping

3 egg yolks beaten well

Add 2 1/4 cups brown sugar.  Mix well

Add 1 cup coconut

Add 1 cup nuts, chopped

Fold in 3 well beaten egg whites


Pour mixture on top of baked mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degree oven. When done, cut in squares and roll in powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Holiday Jello

Cranberry-Orange-Strawberry Jello

1 can 16 oz jellied cranberries
1 can 16 oz whole cranberries
1 pkg 3oz orange jello
1 pkg 6 oz strawberry jello
1 pkg frozen sliced strawberries
2 cups orange juice

Boil orange juice and dissolve jello's.
Break up cranberry sauces in a 9x12 dish and pour jello over sauces. 
When slightly set mix in strawberries.

Serves 8-10

Banana Bran Muffins

Banana Bran Muffins

1 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole bran (unprocessed wheat bran)
1 well-beaten egg
1 cup mashed ripe banana
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoons salad oil

 
Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.  Stir in bran.  Mix remaining ingredients; add all at once to flour mixture, stirring just to moisten.  Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full.  Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  Makes about 10 muffins.
  


   
A Natural Recipe
for Constipation

A Natural Recipe for Constipation

1/2 cup Miller's (unprocessed wheat) bran
1/2 cup applesauce

1/2 cup prune juice

Mix ingredients and refrigerate. Replace the mixture each week. Take 1 to 2 gablespoons daily for one week for desired results. If needed, increase dose by 2 tablespoon each week.

Stool frequency and gas may increase first few weeks, but will usually adjust after one month.

Kale

3 different kinds of berries

coconut water

yogurt (Greek or Activia) needs active probiotics

You may vary quantities of each ingrediate depending on your taste. Usually equal amounts of spinach and kale and berries are suggested. Yogurt is about the amount in a small Activia container - 1/2 cup or less. Coconut water is just enough to liquify blend.

  

Blend in Bullet or other blender.
